The APEM 4000 Series Industrial Joystick Potentiometer is a robust, single-axis control device engineered for demanding environments. Featuring a closed-body construction, it offers reliable performance with a 5KΩ, 55° rotation potentiometer and a standard centring spring for precise control return. The conical handle provides a comfortable, ergonomic grip for extended use, housed within a circular bezel with a standard protective boot.

Designed for longevity, this joystick boasts an impressive operational life cycle exceeding 5 million cycles. Key components include a durable stainless steel lever and a lightweight yet strong HE30 aluminium alloy pivot block, ensuring minimal wear and consistent accuracy. It delivers excellent linearity within ±2% and is rated for a preferred load greater than 100k operations.

The housing is constructed from high-strength glass-filled ABS or steel, offering exceptional impact resistance. A neoprene or Santoprene base provides stability and vibration dampening while contributing to the unit's IP65 protection rating, making it dust-tight and protected against low-pressure water jets from any direction.

Internal wiring consists of 14 strands of 0.12mm diameter tinned, annealed copper wire with PVC insulation, resulting in a flexible cable with a nominal outer diameter of 1mm for reliable connectivity.
