The Broadcom 6N137-000E is a high-speed digital optocoupler integrating a GaAsP light emitting diode with a high-gain photo-detector. This unique optically coupled gate provides maximum AC and DC circuit isolation, making it an ideal solution for noise-sensitive applications where ground loop elimination and signal integrity are paramount. An enable input allows the detector to be strobed for greater control, while the output features an open collector Schottky-clamped transistor for compatibility with a wide range of logic families.
A key strength of this design is its exceptional noise immunity. An internal shield delivers a guaranteed common mode transient immunity of up to 15,000 V/μs at Vcm = 1000V, ensuring reliable operation in electrically noisy industrial environments.
