For applications experiencing extreme operating temperatures or frequent temperature cycling, the cable and connector attachment can be further strengthened using an RTV adhesive. Constructed from flame retardant VALOX UL94V-0 material, this connector provides enhanced safety and durability. It delivers a greater retention force of 80 Newtons compared to non-latching alternatives, making it suitable for demanding environments where a secure link is critical.
Operation
Please note that misalignment of an inserted latching connector into either module will not result in a positive latch. To release the connector, simply depress the rear section of the connector lever and pull the connector assembly away from the module housing.

This connector is fully compatible with the Avago Versatile Link family of connectors and fibre optic components. It supports 1mm diameter plastic optical fibre (POF) available in two grades, providing versatility for various set-ups.
