The Advanced Network Cable Tracker from Duratool is a professional-grade, multi-function network toner and probe designed to simplify complex cable management and fault-finding tasks. This versatile tool combines digital and analogue signalling in one compact unit, offering three distinct cable tracing modes to suit any job requirement.

The digital, analogue, and Power over Ethernet (PoE) modes provide flexibility for different environments. The tone generator sends a strong, clear signal, allowing you to locate specific cables within bundles, walls, or conduits much more quickly and accurately. The dedicated PoE scan mode further enhances precision for tracing cables in active PoE networks.

Beyond simple tracing, this advanced tester performs comprehensive wire map testing, identifying common connection faults such as opens, shorts, crosses, splits, and reversed pairs. It can also measure the length of LAN cables with an impressive range from 2.5 metres up to 500 metres, aiding in inventory management and installation planning.

For PoE installations, the device tests critical information from powered devices, including PoE voltage, power supply polarity, mode, and the type of Power Sourcing Equipment (PSE) in compliance with 802.3af and 802.3at standards. The port flash test is an invaluable feature for network technicians, enabling you to locate specific network ports by remotely flashing the corresponding LED lights on switches or routers.

The unit displays connected switch information such as link speed, duplex mode, and protocol. The receiver, or tone probe, includes an additional safety feature by detecting the presence of AC voltage. A clear 128x64 graphic LCD display provides all test results and menu navigation. Please note, the tool requires 3x AAA and 1x 9V PP3 batteries, which are not supplied.
