Faithfull FSC HSS Turning Chisel 16mm Roughing Out
Faithfull 16mm HSS roughing out chisel for woodturning. 410mm long with durable high-speed steel blade for efficient material removal.
The Faithfull FSC HSS Turning Chisel is a precision tool engineered for demanding woodturning applications. Specifically designed for the initial 'roughing out' stage, this 16mm chisel efficiently shapes and removes large amounts of material from your workpiece, transforming rough stock into a basic, rounded form ready for detailed turning.
Crafted from durable High-Speed Steel (HSS), the blade retains its keen edge longer than standard carbon steel, even under the high friction and heat generated during lathe work. This ensures consistent cutting performance and reduces the frequency of sharpening, allowing you to work more efficiently on your projects.
With a robust overall length of 410mm, it provides excellent leverage and control at the lathe. The 160mm long blade offers a substantial cutting surface, making it ideal for tackling spindle turning, bowl blanks, and other substantial wood pieces. Its design balances weight and manoeuvrability for comfortable, prolonged use in the workshop.
