The Hammonds Furniture 1402H Aluminium Instrument Enclosure is a solid and practical housing solution designed for easy assembly and secure component protection. Its robust construction features top and bottom panels made from durable 12-gauge aluminium, finished in a contemporary grey.

These panels are securely attached to a sturdy internal aluminium extrusion. This integral frame features convenient mounting slots, allowing for the straightforward installation of printed circuit boards or internal panels. The removable front and rear panels are crafted from natural aluminium (with a protective paper coating on one side) and are fixed in place using screws onto the same aluminium extrusion, providing full access for maintenance or wiring.

Supplied as a comprehensive kit, this enclosure includes all necessary hardware for a complete installation. The package contains eight 6-32 nickel-plated screws, eight 4-24 x 1/4 inch self-tapping screws, the 0.064-inch thick natural aluminium panels, four self-adhesive rubber feet for stability and scratch protection, and extra 1421J6 (6-32 x 1/4) sheet metal screws.

With its IP32 rating, the enclosure offers protection against the ingress of solid foreign objects and limited protection against dripping water, making it suitable for various controlled environments.
