Its primary function is to protect sensitive electronic components, such as printed circuit boards (PCBs), from accidental contact with hands or tools while simultaneously allowing the controlled ingress of air and moisture. The enclosure's ABS plastic construction carries a UL94-HB flammability rating, indicating its material safety characteristics. With an official IP30 ingress protection rating, it is protected against solid objects greater than 2.5mm and offers no specific protection against water, making it suitable for dry, indoor environments where basic dust and touch protection is needed.
