The KEMET X5R SMD Multilayer Ceramic Capacitor offers a reliable solution for a variety of electronic applications. Featuring an X5R dielectric, this Class II material is characterised by the Electronics Components, Assemblies Materials Association (EIA) as “semi-stable,” with a maximum operating temperature of 85°C.
This capacitor is particularly suited for bypass and decoupling applications, as well as frequency discriminating circuits where the Q factor and stability of capacitance characteristics are not critical. The X5R dielectric exhibits a predictable change in capacitance with respect to time and voltage, whilst boasting a minimal change in capacitance with reference to ambient temperature. Capacitance change is limited to ±15% across the operating range of −55°C to +85°C.
