Drive 2 motors with forward, reverse & stop control using this Kitronik compact motor driver board for BBC micro:bit. Features built-in protection.
The Kitronik Compact Motor Driver Board for BBC micro:bit enables you to add motor driving capability to your projects with ease. Designed specifically for the BBC micro:bit, this board allows two motors to be driven simultaneously with full forward, reverse, and stop control, making it an ideal choice for designs such as buggies and robotics.
Safety and durability are prioritised with built-in short circuit, over current, and thermal protection. The board includes an integrated Edge Connector, allowing your BBC micro:bit to easily slot into place whilst providing regulated power directly to the microcontroller.
Features and Connections
Equipped with terminal blocks for the easy connection of motors and inputs, this driver board also features external connections to the button A and button B inputs. This allows additional switches or inputs to be connected, with their states then read by the BBC micro:bit. The two additional inputs/outputs can be used in either digital or analogue modes.
For convenient operation, the board features an on/off switch and a power status LED. You can also access the other BBC micro:bit pins easily and conveniently. The board can be programmed using the MakeCode editor or with Python.
Note: The BBC micro:bit and accessories shown are for illustration purposes only and are not included.
