The LITTELFUSE 59070 series M8 Plastic Threaded Barrel Reed Sensor is a reliable, magnetically operated proximity sensor designed for precise position and limit sensing. Featuring a normally open (NO) contact configuration, it is capable of switching up to 265VAC/300VDC at 10VA, making it a versatile component for a wide range of control applications.

This sensor is constructed with a durable plastic threaded barrel (M8 x 1.25 thread) and includes retaining nuts for simple and secure installation. Its two-part magnetic operation allows it to function effectively through non-ferrous materials such as wood, plastic, or aluminium, providing great flexibility in mounting and application. The sensor requires no standby power and is excellent for switching microcontroller logic-level loads, contributing to energy-efficient system designs.

For optimal performance, it is designed to function best with the compatible 57070 actuator (sold separately). The unit comes with a 300mm cable length and tinned leads for reliable electrical connections.
