The MENTOR Flexible Light Pipe is a precision optical component designed for efficient light transmission from SMD LEDs to a visible indicator point. Featuring a transparent, circular-shaped light pipe, this guide uses a simple press-fit mounting system for quick and secure installation onto a printed circuit board (PCB).

The light guide is housed in a robust black polycarbonate (PC) housing, which is fixed to the PCB via two integrated press-in lugs, eliminating the need for additional fasteners or adhesives. As standard, the unit is supplied with a transparent lens at the visible end to enhance light output and dispersion. Its flexible design allows for versatile routing, making it ideal for applications where space is constrained or where the LED and indicator are not in direct alignment.

Constructed from high-quality materials, the housing carries a UL94V-0 flammability rating, ensuring safety and reliability in electronic applications. It also provides ESD (electrostatic discharge) protection rated up to 12kV, safeguarding sensitive components during handling and operation.
