16K I2C serial EEPROM in DIP8 format. Low-power CMOS, 2.5V-5.5V supply, 400kHz clock. Ideal for industrial and consumer electronics.
The Microchip 16K I2C Serial EEPROM is an electrically erasable programmable read-only memory device organised as eight blocks of 256 x 8-bit memory. Featuring a 2-wire serial interface, this memory chip is designed for efficient data storage and retrieval in a wide range of electronic applications.
Low-power CMOS technology enables operation down to 2.5V, with standby and active currents of just 1µA and 1mA respectively. The device offers a 16-byte page write buffer and self-timed erase/write cycles, completing page writes in a maximum of 5ms. Additional features include hardware write-protect, output slope control to eliminate ground bounce, and ESD protection greater than 4000V.
Built for longevity and reliability, this EEPROM supports more than 1 million erase/write cycles and guarantees data retention exceeding 200 years. Housed in a standard 8-pin DIP package for through-hole mounting, it operates effectively within a temperature range of -40°C to 85°C.
