Microchip 16K Serial EEPROM (SOIC8) with I2C interface, 1M+ erase/write cycles, and low power CMOS. Ideal for surface mount applications.
The Microchip 16K Serial EEPROM provides reliable non-volatile memory storage, organised as eight blocks of 256 x 8-bit memory. Designed with low-power CMOS technology, this electrically erasable programmable read-only memory operates effectively down to 1.7V, featuring standby and active currents of only 1µA and 1mA respectively.
This device supports a bidirectional, 2-wire bus and data transmission protocol, fully I²C™ compatible. It incorporates Schmitt-trigger inputs for robust noise suppression and output slope control to eliminate ground bounce, ensuring stable data communication. With a 16-byte page write buffer and a self-timed erase/write cycle completing in just 5ms, it offers efficient data management. Furthermore, it boasts impressive endurance with over 1 million erase/write cycles and greater than 200 years of data retention.
Key Features
