High-speed Microchip CAN Bus Transceiver in SOIC package. Features 1Mbps data rate, 4.5V-5.5V supply, & automotive ESD protection.
This Microchip High Speed CAN Bus Transceiver serves as a reliable interface between a CAN protocol controller and the physical two-wire CAN bus. Designed to meet stringent automotive requirements, it offers high-speed data transmission up to 1Mbps, low quiescent current, and excellent electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection.
Fully compatible with ISO-11898-2 and ISO-11898-5 standards, the device provides differential transmit and receive capability. A key advantage is that CAN bus pins are disconnected when the device is unpowered, ensuring an unpowered node or brown-out event will not load the CAN bus.
