The MICROCHIP PIC12F1822-I/SN is an advanced 8-bit microcontroller from the PIC12F18xx series, designed within a compact 8-pin SOIC package. It incorporates an enhanced mid-range CPU core featuring 49 instructions and a robust 16-level hardware stack with overflow and underflow reset protection. Its architecture supports direct, indirect, and relative addressing modes, with two File Select Registers (FSRs) enabling flexible access to both program and data memory.

A key feature is its Flash program memory with self read/write capability, allowing for flexible in-application updates. The device includes an integrated 32MHz internal oscillator, eliminating the need for an external crystal in many applications, and features an integrated capacitive mTouch™ sensing module for implementing touch interfaces. It is equipped with a comprehensive set of peripherals, including a Data Signal Modulator, MI2C, SPI, and EUSART with auto-baud, an Enhanced Capture/Compare PWM (ECCP) module, a comparator with a selectable voltage reference, and a 4-channel 10-bit ADC.
