This IDC/IDT termination socket accepts 26 to 28AWG wire gauge, enabling highly reliable mass termination of standard 0.05-inch pitch flat ribbon cable. A gas-tight junction is formed with each conductor at four places, enhancing durability and signal integrity. The connector transitions internally from standard 0.055-inch contact spacing to accommodate 0.05-inch ribbon cable without special preparation. The mating area benefits from duplex plating for enhanced conductivity and corrosion resistance.
