The Multicomp Pro Thermal Switch is a high-precision, normally closed thermostat designed for reliable temperature monitoring and protection. It utilises a robust thermo-bimetallic snap-disc element with a fixed switching temperature of 130°C. When the external temperature reaches this set point, the internal double contact system operates, opening or closing the circuit of the application to provide critical thermal control or overload protection.

Heat transfer to the switch is efficient via convection or direct heat conduction onto its housing from all sides. This design, combined with its wide performance range and diverse execution options, makes it universally suitable as a protective switch, sensor, or controller. It is especially recommended for low-voltage and signal current applications in temperature sensing, where its gold-plated contacts ensure optimal performance.

Rated for 10,000 switching cycles under full load, this switch offers exceptional durability. Key specifications include a 10A / 6A rated current at 250V AC, a wide ambient temperature rating (TA) from 70°C to 190°C, and a low contact resistance of less than 50mohm.
