NEKTAR Impact LX25+ 25-Note USB MIDI Keyboard Controller

The NEKTAR Impact LX25+ is a compact and portable USB MIDI keyboard controller designed to streamline your digital audio workstation (DAW) workflow. It features a 25-note velocity-sensitive synth-action keyboard with full-size, piano-style keys that are covered to protect against dirt and dust.

Setting up is straightforward; the controller hooks up automatically to your DAW, allowing you to start making music immediately. With 4 velocity curves gradually increasing in dynamics, there is a choice for any playing style, plus 3 fixed velocity options.

Performance and Control Features

The Impact LX25+ includes 8 velocity-sensitive pads, each LED illuminated with 4 colour options (Green, Yellow, Orange, Red) and featuring a Note-learn function. Pads are assignable with notes and MIDI CC messages, and you can load or save to any of the 4 pad maps. Dedicated transport buttons are always within reach, mapped to control Cycle, Rewind, Forward, Stop, Play, and Record.

An instrument button assigns all controls to instrument parameters automatically once an instrument track is selected in your DAW via Nektar mapping. Additionally, 8 potentiometers are assigned to control 8 channels of your DAW's mixer, with 2 non-overlapping read-only presets on the Mixer and Instrument buttons for quick setup changes.

Software and Connectivity

Bitwig 8-Track is included, enabling you to start producing, performing, and designing sounds right away. Software integration supports popular DAWs including Cubase, Digital Performer, FL Studio, Garageband, Logic, Nuendo, Reaper, Reason, Sonar, and Studio One.

Connections include a ¼” TS jack foot switch input and a USB port on the rear panel. It is USB bus-powered and connects to an iPad via the Apple Camera Connection Kit (not supplied).
