The NXP Absolute Altimeter/Barometer Pressure Sensor is designed to sense absolute air pressure in altimeter or barometer (BAP) applications. It integrates on-chip bipolar op-amp circuitry and thin-film resistor networks to provide a high-level analogue output signal and temperature compensation.
The small form factor and high reliability of on-chip integration make this sensor an ideal choice for application designers. It is on-chip signal conditioned, temperature compensated, and calibrated, delivering a maximum error of just 1.5% over 0°C to 85°C. The device is perfectly suited for microprocessor or microcontroller-based systems.
Built with a durable epoxy unibody element, it operates within a pressure range of 15kPa to 115kPa and a supply voltage range of 4.85VDC to 5.35VDC. It features a rapid response time of 1ms and a sensitivity of 45.9mV/kPa, functioning reliably in operating temperatures from -40°C to 125°C.
Supplied in a 6-pin SIP package suitable for through-hole mounting, the sensor provides an analogue output for precise sensing instrumentation. Its compact dimensions of 43mm in height, 33mm in width, and 15mm in depth ensure it fits easily into your electronic assemblies.
