The Osram SFH4350 is a radial leaded, high power infrared (IR) emitter designed for demanding illumination and transmission applications. It delivers a very high radiant intensity within a focused emission angle of ±13°, making it an excellent source for infrared lighting in low-light or no-light conditions.
With a peak wavelength of 850nm, it is perfectly suited for use with CMOS cameras and sensor arrays, providing invisible illumination for surveillance systems, motion detection, and machine vision. Its high power output and fast switching time of 12ns also make it ideal for high-speed data transmission and remote control systems in consumer electronics and portable devices.
Encased in a standard T-1 (3mm) diode package, this robust LED operates reliably across an extensive temperature range from -40°C to 100°C. It is engineered for efficiency with a forward current of 100mA and a low forward voltage of 1.5V, resulting in a power dissipation of 180mW.
