Pico Explore Base Development Board with Mini Breadboard & LCD

The PIMORONI Pico Explore Base is the perfect electronic playground for tinkering with and expanding the capabilities of your Raspberry Pi Pico. This compact development board incorporates a wide array of integrated components, including a mini breadboard, piezo speaker, motor drivers, and switches, creating a self-contained prototyping environment. It is fitted with pre-soldered female headers for direct connection to a pre-soldered Pico, allowing for quick and solderless project assembly and experimentation.

A key feature is the 1.54” IPS LCD display with a 240x240 resolution, providing a clear and colourful interface to monitor sensor readings, display graphics, or show project status. For motor control, the board includes two half-bridge motor drivers, each with an over-current LED indicator for safe operation. Easy-access GPIO ADC pin headers are provided for connecting a multitude of external sensors and modules, while four user-controllable buttons offer direct input for your projects.

Programming & Compatibility

Program the system using popular languages like C/C++ or MicroPython, offering flexibility for both beginners and experienced makers. The board’s compact footprint is complemented by rubber feet, ensuring stability during use. It is specifically designed for use with the Raspberry Pi Pico, enabling direct connection to a Pico that has male headers soldered to it with pins pointing down.
