The SEEED STUDIO Raspberry Pi I2C RTC Module provides an accurate real-time clock for your Raspberry Pi via the I2C interface. Based on the reliable DS1307 clock chip, this module efficiently counts seconds, minutes, hours, date of the month, month, day of the week, and year, complete with automatic leap-year compensation valid up to 2100. The clock operates in either the 24-hour or 12-hour format, including an AM/PM indicator for clear time tracking.
To maintain accurate timing when the Raspberry Pi is powered off, simply insert a 3-volt CR1225 lithium cell into the onboard battery holder. This ensures continuous operation without interruption. Additionally, the module features 56 bytes of battery-backed, non-volatile (NV) RAM for secure data storage, a programmable square wave output signal, and automatic power-fail detect and switch circuitry.
Designed for seamless integration, this RTC module supports a wide range of boards, including the Raspberry Pi 2, 3, 4, B/B+, and Zero. The compact design ensures it fits neatly into your project, measuring just 36.5 mm in height, 26 mm in width, and 13.5 mm in depth, with a lightweight profile of only 14 grams.
