The SEMTECH SR05 RailClamp TVS Diode Array is a specialised protection component engineered for safeguarding high-speed data interfaces. This device is designed to shield sensitive electronics from damaging voltage transients caused by electrostatic discharge (ESD), electrical fast transients (EFT), and lightning-induced surges. Its innovative structure combines four surge-rated, low-capacitance steering diodes with a TVS diode in a single, compact SOT-143 SMD package, offering a robust and space-efficient solution for circuit protection.

During a transient event, the integrated steering diodes efficiently channel the overvoltage either to the positive supply rail or to ground. The internal TVS diode then clamps the voltage on the power line, preventing any downstream components from experiencing harmful overvoltage conditions. This coordinated action ensures reliable protection for connected equipment.

A key advantage of the SR05 series is its exceptionally low capacitance, which is critical for maintaining signal integrity on high-speed data lines without causing distortion or attenuation.
