The SOUNDSATION PDX-100 Passive DI Box is an essential tool for any live sound, studio recording, or audio installation setup. Its primary function is to convert a high-impedance, unbalanced audio signal from instruments or line-level sources into a low-impedance, balanced signal. This conversion allows for the use of long cable runs via a standard XLR connection without the signal degradation and noise pickup typically associated with high-impedance instrument leads.

A key feature of this unit is the integrated THRU connection. This 6.3mm jack output allows you to simultaneously send the original, unprocessed high-impedance signal to another amplifier or device, enabling on-stage monitoring while sending a clean, balanced feed directly to the front-of-house mixing desk.

For maximum flexibility in handling different input levels, the PDX-100 is equipped with a PAD selector offering three settings: 0dB, -20dB, and -40dB. This allows you to attenuate hot signals from active basses or keyboards to prevent clipping and distortion at the console input. Furthermore, a Ground/Lift selector with three positions (ground, float, lift) provides a simple and effective solution for eliminating ground loop hum and mains interference, ensuring a clean and noise-free audio signal.

The unit also incorporates an inbuilt noise filter specifically designed to help eliminate RF interference and mains hum, which is crucial for maintaining audio integrity in electrically noisy environments. Housed in a robust metal chassis, the DI box is built for the rigours of regular touring and professional use. It comes supplied with a UK mains plug (Type G), making it ready for use in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Cyprus, Saudi Arabia, Malta, and many other countries.
