The SparkFun ICS-40180 Analogue MEMS Microphone Breakout Board is an ultra-compact solution for integrating high-quality audio capture into your projects. This breakout board features the InvenSense ICS-40180 microphone, known for its superior sound performance in a tiny package.
This board is designed with a bottom-ported configuration, allowing the microphone to sit flush against your project enclosure for seamless integration. The omni-directional microphone ensures excellent sound pickup from all directions.
Key features include an integrated OpAmp for signal amplification with a bias voltage of 1/2 VCC, making it ready to connect directly to a microcontroller's ADC input. The output signal typically measures 200mV peak-to-peak under normal conditions.
With a wide voltage range of 1.5 to 3.6V DC, this board is compatible with most microcontroller systems. It delivers a signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of 65dBA and features a frequency response with -3dB roll-off at 60Hz and 19.7kHz for clear audio reproduction.
