ST-LINK/V2 in-circuit debugger/programmer for STM8 & STM32. Supports SWIM, JTAG/SWD. USB powered, compact design.
The ST-LINK/V2 is a high-performance in-circuit debugger and programmer designed for the STM8 and STM32 microcontroller families. It provides a seamless development experience by supporting both the SWIM (Single Wire Interface Module) and JTAG/SWD (Serial Wire Debugging) interfaces, enabling communication with any target microcontroller on an application board.
For STM8 applications, the USB full-speed interface ensures fast and reliable communication with ST Visual Develop (STVD) and ST Visual Program (STVP) software. For STM32 projects, the same USB interface works with popular IDEs including Atollic, IAR, Keil, and TASKING, offering broad compatibility across development environments.
The unit is powered directly via a standard USB 2.0 full-speed compatible connection, eliminating the need for an external power supply. It supports a wide input voltage range from 1.65V to 5.5V on the SWIM interface, ensuring flexibility across different board designs. The JTAG/SWD interface supports 1.65V to 3.6V with 5V tolerant inputs, making it safe for mixed-voltage systems.
