Ultra-low power STMICROELECTRONICS LIS2DW12 digital MEMS accelerometer. Features ±2g/±16g range, I2C/SPI interface for wearables, IoT.
The STMICROELECTRONICS LIS2DW12TR is a high-performance, ultra-low-power 3-axis 'femto' accelerometer, representing the cutting edge of MEMS motion sensing technology. Built on a robust and mature micromachining process, it delivers exceptional reliability and precision in a compact form factor.
This digital accelerometer features user-selectable full-scale ranges of ±2g, ±4g, ±8g, and ±16g, offering great flexibility for different application sensitivity requirements. It measures acceleration with a configurable output data rate from 1.6Hz up to 1600Hz. A key advantage is its integrated 32-level FIFO (first-in, first-out) buffer, which allows data storage to minimise host processor intervention and improve overall system efficiency.
Designed for extreme energy efficiency, it operates from a supply voltage of 1.62V to 3.6V. Power consumption is remarkably low: just 50nA in power-down mode and below 1µA in active low-power mode. It also boasts very low noise performance, down to 1.3mg RMS in low-power mode, ensuring accurate motion detection.
