High-speed CMOS 3-to-8 decoder/demultiplexer by Texas Instruments. DIP-16 package, 8 outputs, 2 V to 6 V supply. Ideal for memory decoding.
The TEXAS INSTRUMENTS 3-to-8 Decoder/Demultiplexer is a high-speed CMOS logic device well-suited to memory address decoding or data routing applications. It features the low power consumption typically associated with CMOS circuitry, whilst delivering speeds comparable to low-power Schottky TTL logic.
This device incorporates three binary select inputs (A0, A1, and A2). When enabled, these inputs determine which of the normally low outputs will go high. To ease the cascading of decoders, the component provides two active-low and one active-high enable inputs (E1, E2, and E3). Furthermore, the eight outputs are capable of driving up to ten low-power Schottky TTL equivalent loads.
Key Features and Benefits
Designed for demanding environments, this decoder operates within a supply voltage range of 2 V to 6 V and functions reliably across an extensive temperature range from -55°C to 125°C. Supplied in a standard DIP-16 package, it is suitable for a wide variety of industrial electronics applications, providing efficient and reliable logic decoding and data routing.
