A precision band gap and error amplifier provide an overall accuracy of 2%. The device features low output noise and a high power-supply rejection ratio (PSRR) of 68dB at 1kHz, making it ideal for battery-operated handheld equipment. Safety is ensured with built-in thermal shutdown and current limit protection. The device is stable with an effective output capacitance of only 0.1µF, allowing the use of capacitors with higher bias voltages and temperature derating. It maintains specified accuracy even with no output load.
