During manufacturing, a thin-film material is selectively deposited onto a 96% alumina substrate alongside metallic contacts. Each unit undergoes a meticulous heat treatment to achieve the required temperature coefficient of resistance (TCR) and stability, followed by a precisely controlled laser trim process to set the resistance value. Epoxy protection is then applied, and wrap-around terminations are added, plated with nickel and tin for reliable soldering.
Designed for robust performance, this resistor includes a passivated range for superior humidity resistance and boasts 0.05% load life stability. It is AEC-Q200 qualified, ensuring suitability for demanding automotive environments. Each resistor is measured immediately before packing into tape to guarantee stringent quality standards are met.
