The VISHAY IR Receiver Photodiode Module is a miniaturised infrared receiver module designed for infrared remote control systems. It integrates a PIN diode and a preamplifier assembled on a lead frame, housed within an epoxy package containing an IR filter. The demodulated output signal can be directly connected to a microprocessor for decoding, making it highly effective for remote controlling applications.
This module features a photo detector and preamplifier in one compact package, providing an internal filter for PCM frequency and improved shielding against electromagnetic interference (EMI). It offers improved immunity against ambient light, ensuring reliable performance in various environments. With a carrier frequency of 36kHz, a transmission range of 45m, and a directivity of 45°, it delivers precise signal reception. The device supports multiple remote control codes including RC-5, RC-6, Panasonic, NEC, Sharp, r-step, and Thomson RCA.
