The Würth Elektronik WE-STAR-TEC split ferrite core offers highly effective supplementary interference suppression for a wide range of electronic applications. Engineered for user-friendliness and reliable performance, it features a NiZn (nickel zinc) core material optimised for the frequency range from 1 MHz to 1 GHz.

A key advantage is the innovative prefixed cable system, which simplifies and accelerates the assembly process while providing integral cable clamping protection. This design minimises the risk of errors during installation. The core can be effortlessly opened and refitted using the patented STAR-TEC safety key, which is included in each packaging unit.

For enhanced security, an internal locking mechanism prevents the unauthorised removal of the ferrite from the cable without the dedicated key. The robust plastic housing is classified UL94 V-5, indicating high resistance to flammability, and is rated for operation across a broad temperature range from –25°C to +105°C, ensuring reliability in demanding environments.

With a specified impedance of 270 ohms, this core is part of the WE-STAR-TEC series, designed for cables with diameters from 3.5 mm to 25 mm. Its snap-on, split construction makes it an ideal, reusable solution for managing electromagnetic interference (EMI) on existing cable runs without the need for disconnection.
