The **TEKVIEW Powertxt GSM Power Socket** is a secure and reliable SMS-controlled remote power switch, offering a simple yet powerful solution for managing mains power from anywhere. It operates purely via SMS (text message) commands, with no reliance on network data, WiFi, or internet connections. This makes it an ideal, out-of-band management tool for performing hard reboots on critical equipment by cycling the mains power off and on.

This device provides instant SMS alerts for device status, giving you real-time updates on your connected hardware. Its non-IP based design significantly reduces the threat of cyber attacks, while the straightforward SMS operation ensures low running costs. The package includes a plug-in temperature sensor, enabling you to set time schedules, delays, and temperature thresholds with instant text alerts when those thresholds are crossed.

Setup is quick and simple, taking under five minutes. The unit supports one master and up to four additional users, all protected by a password for enhanced security. Please note, a standard PAYG SIM card is required for operation but is not included. It functions on basic 2G networks, so no internet is needed, allowing for use in remote or off-grid locations.

The integrated UK mains plug (Type G) is compatible with sockets in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Cyprus, Saudi Arabia, Malta, and many other countries. It is an indispensable tool for business continuity, remote site management, and domestic peace of mind, allowing for the remote reboot of servers, routers, or heating systems.
