60W Bayonet Cap Bulkhead Light

This 60W bayonet cap bulkhead light is a functional outdoor lighting solution designed for straightforward installation and everyday use. The unit is built to accommodate a standard 60W bulb, providing a clear illumination source in locations where practical, waterproof lighting is required.

Construction and Design

The bulkhead housing is typically constructed from durable polycarbonate or similar weather-resistant plastic, protecting the internal components from the elements. The clear cover diffuses the light output, helping to minimise glare and distribute illumination evenly across the area. The bayonet cap (B22) fitting ensures compatibility with a wide range of standard household bulbs.

Applications and Use

This style of bulkhead light is commonly used in external areas such as porches, side passages, garages, outbuildings, and utility rooms. Its simple, robust design makes it a reliable choice for providing general-purpose lighting in environments that require a degree of weather resistance and resilience. Installation is typically straightforward, requiring a standard electrical back plate for mounting.
