FEBI Oil Filter Spin-On

FEBI Spin-On Oil Filter

The FEBI Spin-On Oil Filter is a replacement oil filter from the FEBI brand. As a spin-on design, the filter is a self-contained unit that screws onto its mounting point, so the complete filter can be replaced as a single item during routine maintenance.

Key Dimensions and Weight

This filter measures 87 mm in height, 79 mm in width and 87 mm in depth, and weighs 340 grams. These measurements give a clear indication of its overall size, allowing you to check the available space before fitting.

• Height: 87 mm
• Width: 79 mm
• Depth: 87 mm
• Weight: 340 grams

Design and Installation

The spin-on format removes the need to handle a loose filter element, as the filter body and element are supplied together. This makes the replacement process more straightforward, with the old unit unscrewed and the new unit fitted to the same mounting point.

Before fitting, it is advisable to check that the filter matches the specification of the application it is intended for, and to confirm that the mounting surface is clean and free from old gasket material. Fit the new filter by hand according to the usual procedure for this type of component.

Function

An oil filter is fitted within the lubrication circuit of an engine. Its role is to capture contaminants such as debris and particles from the engine oil as it circulates. By keeping the oil cleaner, the filter helps to protect moving components from unnecessary wear.

Regular replacement of the oil filter forms part of routine engine maintenance, and it is typically changed alongside the engine oil at the intervals recommended for the application.

Summary

The FEBI Spin-On Oil Filter is a practical replacement component with a defined size and weight. Its spin-on construction makes it simple to fit, and its listed dimensions allow for easy comparison with the space available in the application.
