ForgeFix High Tensile M10 x 100mm Zinc Plated Set Screws (Bag of 10)
ForgeFix grade 8.8 zinc plated set screws. M10 x 100mm, fully threaded & corrosion resistant. Pack of 10. DIN 933 standard.
The ForgeFix High Tensile Set Screws are manufactured from durable grade 8.8 steel and feature a protective zinc plating for enhanced corrosion resistance. These fully threaded screws meet DIN 933 standards, ensuring quality and reliability for demanding engineering applications.
Zinc plating serves a dual protective function - it forms a resilient barrier against oxidation while acting as a sacrificial anode if the coating becomes compromised. Unlike iron oxide, the resulting zinc oxide layer maintains the integrity of the underlying metal, offering long-lasting performance comparable to the protective oxide layers found on aluminium and stainless steel.
