ForgeFix Nyloc Nuts & Washers A2 Stainless Steel M12 (Pack of 6)
A2 stainless steel Nyloc nuts with nylon insert for vibration resistance. Pack of 6 for secure, durable fastening.
The ForgeFix Nyloc Hexagonal Nuts are made from A2 stainless steel and incorporate a nylon component to effectively lock the nut into position on the bolt. The nylon insert has a smaller inside diameter than the nut, ensuring a secure grip by tightly squeezing around the bolt threads when tightened. This design prevents loosening under vibration, offering superior resistance compared to standard locking washers.
Featuring a hexagonal shape, these nuts are designed for use with wrenches (spanners), ensuring excellent torque application for a firm and reliable fastening. The A2 stainless steel construction resists corrosion, rust, and staining, though it is not entirely stain-proof in low-oxygen, high-salinity, or poorly ventilated environments. This makes them ideal for applications where both strength and corrosion resistance are essential.
Applications
These nuts are perfect for permanent fastenings where vibration or movement could cause loosening. They are compatible with a variety of bolt types, including:
- HT bolts
- Carriage bolts
- Threaded rods
