ForgeFix Nyloc Nuts & Washers, Zinc Plated, M5 (Pack of 40)
ForgeFix Nyloc nuts & washers, M5 zinc-plated (40-pack). Vibration-resistant, corrosion-proof fastening solution.
The ForgeFix Nyloc Hexagonal Nut incorporates a nylon component to effectively lock the nut into position on the bolt. This innovative design ensures superior resistance to loosening, even under significant vibration, making it ideal for applications where a permanent fastening is essential.
Unlike standard locking washers, the Nyloc nut features a nylon insert with a smaller inside diameter than the nut itself. When tightened, this nylon insert firmly squeezes around the bolt, gripping the threads securely and preventing any unwanted movement. This mechanism provides excellent torque retention and reliability in high-vibration environments.
Key Features
These nuts are zinc-plated for enhanced corrosion resistance, ensuring a longer-lasting finish even in demanding conditions. The hexagonal shape allows for easy tightening with a wrench or spanner, delivering optimal torque for secure fastening.
Applications
The ForgeFix Nyloc Nuts & Washers are perfect for use in situations where loosening must be prevented due to movement or vibration. They are compatible with a wide range of bolt products, including high-tensile (HT) bolts, carriage bolts, and threaded rods.
