ForgeFix ZP M6 x 40mm Flat Washers, Pack of 6
ForgeFix zinc-plated flat washers (M6 x 40mm, pack of 6) for corrosion-resistant, even load distribution in bolting applications.
The ForgeFix ZP M6 x 40mm Flat Washers set offers excellent corrosion resistance thanks to their bright zinc plating. These washers provide a smooth bearing surface for nuts or bolts, ensuring even distribution of load and reducing the likelihood of loosening due to uneven fastening surfaces. Perfect for various bolting applications, they are compatible with all types of bolts and nuts, providing reliable performance in both domestic and industrial settings.
Zinc plating forms a protective barrier against oxidation, significantly extending the lifespan of the washers. Additionally, zinc acts as a sacrificial anode if the barrier is compromised, further protecting the underlying metal. Zinc oxide, which forms naturally on the surface, enhances corrosion resistance without degrading the metal, similar to the protection found in aluminium and stainless steel.
