Power Integrations TOP227YN PWM Switch is a second-generation TOPSwitch-II three-terminal offline PWM switch, rated for 150W at single voltage input and housed in a 3-pin TO-220 package.

Overview

The TOP227YN integrates a high-voltage power MOSFET, PWM control, fault protection, and other control circuitry into a single monolithic CMOS device. This integration reduces the component count required for switched-mode power supply designs, which helps to reduce board space and time-to-market. Significant circuit enhancements reduce sensitivity to board layout and line transients, which simplifies the design process.
