PRO ELEC 5 Core YY Control Cable - 1.5mm 100m
PRO ELEC 5 core 1.5mm² YY control cable. Class 5 flexible, PVC grey jacket, 300/500V rated. For machinery & instrumentation.
The PRO ELEC 5 Core YY Control Cable is a Class 5 flexible cable designed for the reliable operation of instrumentation, control equipment, and tooling machinery. It is specifically engineered for use on production lines and in applications requiring free movement, offering excellent flexibility without a sustained tensile load. Its robust construction ensures dependable performance in a wide range of industrial environments.
Featuring five plain copper conductors, this cable provides stable signal and power transmission for complex control systems. The grey PVC outer jacket is tough and resilient, offering protection against moisture, abrasion, and general wear. It is rated for use in dry, moist, and wet rooms, providing versatile installation options for indoor settings.
Technical Specifications & Performance
With a voltage rating of 300/500V, this cable is suitable for low-voltage control circuits. It boasts an impressive operational temperature range, from -40°C to +80°C when fixed, and from -5°C to +70°C when flexed. This makes it suitable for environments with significant temperature fluctuations, such as factories and workshops.
To ensure long-term reliability and prevent conductor damage, it is important to adhere to the minimum bend radius guidelines: 6 times the overall diameter for fixed installations and 12 times the overall diameter during flexing. The cable is unscreened (YY), making it ideal for general-purpose control applications where electromagnetic interference shielding is not a primary requirement.
Key Features & Applications
- Class 5 Flexibility: The finely stranded copper conductors allow for repeated bending and movement, perfect for use on automated machinery, robotic arms, and moving gantries.
- Durable PVC Jacket: The grey PVC sheath resists oils, acids, and alkalis, providing longevity in challenging industrial conditions.
