The STORM INTERFACE Storm 700 Series Keypad is a robust, 4-way matrix input device engineered for reliability in the most demanding conditions. Designed specifically for harsh, wet, or dirty environments, this modular keypad offers superior protection against liquid ingress and contamination, ensuring consistent performance where standard components would fail. Its construction combines an engineering-grade silicone rubber keypad surface for tactile feedback and durability with a non-ferrous metal-coated chassis for corrosion resistance. The internal contact circuit utilises a gold-on-nickel-plated FR4 PCB, providing excellent electrical conductivity and long-term reliability.

This keypad is built to withstand intensive use, boasting a minimum operational life of 2 million cycles. Each key features a nominal travel of 1.5mm and requires a typical actuation force of 160 grams, offering a positive and responsive feel for the operator. With an IP67 protection rating, the unit is completely sealed against dust and can withstand temporary immersion in water, making it ideal for washdown areas or outdoor applications.
