Yale 89 Deadlock Nightlatch, DMG Finish, 60mm Backset
Secure Yale 89 nightlatch in DMG finish—auto-deadlocking, snib function & high security. 60mm backset, 2-year warranty.
The Yale 89 Deadlock Nightlatch is one of the most reliable and widely-used security locks for front doors. Designed for ease of use and high security, this nightlatch can be operated with a key from the outside and a lever handle from the inside. Upon closing the door, the latch automatically deadlocks, ensuring immediate security. The snib function (bolt hold-back button) allows the latch to be held open for convenience.
For enhanced protection, the inside handle can be deadlocked by turning the key in the cylinder in reverse—once deadlocked in this position, the latch can only be opened from the outside with the key. This provides an additional layer of security when needed.
The lock includes a 1109 cylinder, and is available in multiple finishes, including Brasslux, Chrome, or the premium Dark Metal Grey (DMG). The 89DMGPB model features a hardened case in Dark Metallic Grey with a polished brass cylinder, ensuring durability and resistance against forced entry attempts. With a 60mm backset (distance from the door edge to the cylinder centre), it is suitable for standard door installations.
