FORUM LIGHTING Fixed Fire Rated Downlight - Chrome

The FORUM LIGHTING Fixed Fire Rated Downlight is an essential component for enhancing safety and illumination in modern residential and commercial properties. This robust, recessed ceiling spotlight is specifically engineered to integrate seamlessly into fire-rated ceiling constructions, offering both aesthetic discretion and critical fire protection. Its design ensures compliance with stringent safety standards, making it a reliable choice for architects, electricians, and DIY enthusiasts prioritising building regulation compliance.

Constructed from durable die-cast steel, the fitting provides exceptional strength and longevity. This material choice not only contributes to the product's fire-resistant properties but also ensures it remains securely in place within the ceiling void. The inclusion of PTFE cabling enhances safety further, as this material is known for its high-temperature resistance and low flammability, adding an extra layer of protection to the electrical installation.

Key Features and Applications

A core function of this downlight is its certified fire rating. It is rigorously tested and deemed suitable for installation within 30, 60, and 90-minute fire-resistant standard ceiling constructions. This makes it ideal for use in key areas such as apartment corridors, multi-occupancy buildings, commercial offices, and anywhere else where maintaining the integrity of a fire-rated compartment is legally required. Its IP20 rating indicates it is designed for use in dry, indoor conditions, providing basic protection against touch and the ingress of small solid objects.

The fitting is designed for a GU10 lamp base and can accommodate a maximum of a 50W halogen bulb or its energy-efficient LED equivalent (bulb not included). This flexibility allows users to choose their preferred light output and colour temperature while benefiting from the long lifespan and lower running costs of modern LED bulbs. A
