LINEAR TOOLS - Long HSS Drill Bit with Black Finish - 8mm x 165mm

The LINEAR TOOLS Long HSS Drill Bit with Black Finish is engineered for precision and durability in demanding drilling applications. Manufactured from high-speed steel (HSS), this fully ground drill bit delivers exceptional cutting performance and superior resistance to heat, ensuring it retains its sharpness through prolonged use. It is manufactured to exacting DIN 338 and BS 328 quality standards, guaranteeing consistent dimensions, high concentricity, and reliable performance for both professional and DIY tasks.

A defining feature of this drill bit is its extended working length, which significantly surpasses that of standard drill bits. This makes it an indispensable tool for accessing and drilling into hard-to-reach areas where a conventional bit cannot reach. The black finish provides a protective coating that reduces friction and enhances chip evacuation, leading to smoother operation and extended tool life. The 118° standard point geometry ensures quick, accurate starting and reduces 'walking' on curved or uneven surfaces, providing cleaner holes with less effort.

Ideal for a wide range of materials, this long-series HSS drill bit is perfect for metalworking, fabrication, engineering, and general workshop use. Its robust construction allows it to tackle materials such as steel, aluminium, brass, and plastics with ease. Whether you are working on deep-hole drilling in machinery, creating clearance holes in framework, or performing intricate repairs, this drill bit offers the reach and resilience needed to complete the job efficiently.

This professional-grade tool is designed for users who require reliability and precision. The extended shank provides greater flexibility and control during operation, while the high-quality HSS material ensures the bit can withstand the rigours of frequent use without compromising on performance. It is a staple in any comprehensive tool collection, from industrial workshops to home garages.
