MOLEX 2 Way Connector Housing Socket - 3.68mm

The MOLEX 2 Way Connector Housing Socket is a fundamental component for building secure and organised electrical connections. It is designed to accept crimp contacts, which are attached to wires and then inserted into the housing. This creates a robust, wire-to-board connection that is ideal for a wide range of electronics and electrical systems. The primary function is to provide a secure and insulated interface for two conductors, ensuring reliable signal transmission and power delivery.

Constructed from high-quality materials, this housing offers excellent durability and a secure fit for the crimped contacts, preventing accidental disconnection. The compact, 2-way design makes it perfect for applications where space is at a premium while maintaining the integrity of the connection. Its versatility allows it to be used across numerous industries and projects, from industrial controls and automotive applications to consumer electronics and DIY prototyping.

This connector housing is an essential part of creating a modular and serviceable wiring system. Using crimp contacts allows for field-repairable connections, meaning wires can be easily replaced or circuits modified without needing to replace the entire connector assembly. This saves both time and cost in maintenance and assembly processes. The housing provides crucial insulation and strain relief, protecting the delicate metal contacts from short circuits, dust, and physical stress.

When paired with the correct MOLEX crimp contacts and compatible headers, it forms a complete and highly reliable interconnection solution. Its design ensures consistent mating and unmating cycles, providing long-term reliability for your critical connections. Whether you are an engineer designing a new PCB layout or a technician assembling a control panel, this housing is a trusted choice for establishing dependable electrical pathways.
