PRO ELEC 2 Core SY Control Cable - 1mm 100m

The PRO ELEC 2 Core SY Control Cable is a robust, steel wire-braided cable designed for demanding instrumentation, control, and machinery applications. It is engineered for flexibility and reliability in environments that require consistent signal transmission and resistance to interference. The cable is constructed with Class 5 flexible plain copper conductors, providing excellent conductivity and durability for repeated flexing in industrial settings.

A key feature is the transparent PVC outer jacket, which is resistant to oils and chemicals, making the cable suitable for use in dry, moist, and wet rooms. The integral galvanised steel wire braiding offers dual protection; it acts as a highly effective mechanical shield against crushing and abrasion from traverse loads, while also serving as a magnetic screen to minimise electromagnetic interference (EMI), ensuring signal integrity.

Technical Specifications & Performance

This control cable boasts a voltage rating of 300/500V and a wide operational temperature range, supporting fixed installations from -40°C to +80°C and flexing applications from -5°C to +70°C. The specified minimum bend radius ensures long-term reliability—10 times the overall diameter for fixed routes and 20 times for flexing applications—helping to prevent conductor damage and maintain performance. It is important to note that this cable is not designed for outdoor or direct underground installation.

Ideal Applications

Its combination of flexibility, shielding, and resilience makes it the perfect choice for connecting control equipment on tooling machinery and automated production lines. It is equally suited for any application requiring free movement without a tensile load, such as in cable carriers or moving machine parts. For engineers and electricians, this SY control cable delivers a dependable, high-performance solution for complex industrial wiring tasks.
