Loctite 243 Threadlocker Medium Strength 10ml

Loctite 243 Threadlocker Medium Strength 10ml is a medium-strength threadlocker for locking and sealing threaded fasteners in assemblies that are subject to vibration and shock.

Overview

The adhesive cures when confined in the absence of air between close-fitting metal surfaces, forming a durable bond that helps prevent loosening and leakage. Its thixotropic formulation reduces the migration of liquid after application, so the adhesive stays where it is applied for a controlled bonding process. Assemblies that require maintenance or servicing can still be disassembled using standard hand tools.

Material Compatibility

Loctite 243 is designed to perform on active metals such as brass and copper, as well as passive substrates including stainless steel and various plated surfaces. It is also formulated to tolerate minor surface contamination from industrial oils, including cutting, lubrication, anti-corrosion, and protection fluids. This supports use in pre-assembled or less-than-pristine conditions.
