Microchip 8-Bit Flash Microcontroller 28-Pin DIP

The Microchip 8-Bit Flash Microcontroller is a 28-pin DIP device built on an 8-bit enhanced Flash core, with 14KB of program memory and 256 bytes of data EEPROM for embedded applications. It uses low-power, high-speed flash and EEPROM technology, and its self-programming capability supports flexibility during development and operation.

Overview

This microcontroller includes 368 bytes of RAM and a versatile set of peripherals. Its data EEPROM and flash program memory can be read and written during normal operation across the full VDD range, and are addressed indirectly through special function registers. Programmable code protection and power-saving operating modes are also supported.

Peripherals and Communication

• Two comparators
• 10-bit analogue-to-digital converter (A/D) with up to 8 channels
• Two capture/compare/PWM functions
• Synchronous serial port (SSP) configurable as a 3-wire Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI) or a 2-wire Inter-Integrated Circuit (I²C) bus
• Universal synchronous asynchronous receiver transmitter (USART/SCI) with 9-bit address detection

Key Specifications
