Based on the reliable u-blox SAM-M8Q GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) module, this shield receives and processes signals from GPS, GLONASS, and Galileo positioning services concurrently, making it ideal for outdoor applications around the world.
The shield features an omnidirectional patch antenna for excellent signal reception, and connects seamlessly to your MKR board either through Serial1 or via the I2C / DCC protocol on the 5-pin connector. It operates at a maximum voltage of 3.3V and is not 5V tolerant, so ensure your setup complies with these voltage requirements.
